Yet another Pro-Obama Twitter hashtag backfire?

27 Nov

Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services, arguably the most powerful department in this administration, is calling on their fans to provide compact testimonials. Inspired by the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday season they have requested that the liberal drones of America use the tweeterverse to testify about the aspects of the Obamacare legislation. Of course they are requesting that people tweet with delight about the wonderful ways that the law will help us such as allowing adults up to the age of 26 to remain on their parents insurance and allow them to focus on occupying parks instead of seeking employment. This from the HHS Health Care Reform blog;

This month, we’re highlighting the many reasons to be thankful for these new benefits.  So we put out the call asking you to give us a few examples about the new health care benefits you’re thankful for, and share stories about how you’ve been helped by the law. Already, on we’ve heard from hundreds of you.  Using the hashtag #ThanksHCR

We have seen this administration employ this tactic with disastrous results before with the hashtags #AttackWatch and #WeCantWait, and we are starting to see a similar result with #ThanksHCR

I can no longer use my medical FSA to purchase OTC meds #ThanksHCR #tcot

I like the Health Care insurance I had, but it is no longer available #ThanksHCR #tcot

Obamacare for advanced neurosurgical care, if you’re over 70 and you come into an emergency room,you’ll only get “comfort care” #ThanksHCR

I urge all of you to let Secretary Sebilius and President Obama know how you feel as well give us a few examples about the new health care benefits you’re thankful for, and share stories about how you have and will be screwed by the law.

    Linked in the sidebar over at the head Moron’s. I think you’ve hit the big time!

    Thanks for the head’s up, let the tweeting begin!

    The cost of my insurance has gone up and coverages down. I now pay for 30% of the doctors bill myself on top of the tripled co-pays, and doubled premiums. Thanks hrc for making healthcare unaffordable for me.

    Notice how Organizing for America groups are flooding the stream with PR points.

      Yes, that is why we are doing a little counter-flooding.
