Don’t you just feel it? Doesn’t your sixth sense tell you that the tide has turned? Doesn’t your intuition whisper to you that the train of events in the Presidential campaign has shifted in Romney’s direction? You are right.
Poor President Obama. He is having such a bad month. The unemployment numbers have been horrible, but that was no surprise since his economic policies have been one long capital destroying attack on business and job creation. Then Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker mopped the floor with the left, handily winning the recall election and winning a surprising number of votes from private sector union members who are no longer willing to work (if they have a job) and pay taxes to give premium benefits packages to public sector unions. The same day as the Wisconsin recall election several California municipalities approved referenda to reduce employee benefits. Then the President describes the private sector as doing “fine” while unemployment has been over 8% for the longest stretch since the Great Depression. Next up will be the Supreme Court overturning Obamacare. By the way, in my view the most important issue in this election is one that has gotten almost no attention, and that issue is the fact that the next President will almost certainly have several Supreme Court appointments. If Obama makes any more appointments to the Supreme Court then the Unites States as a free nation based upon the Constitution is toast. Without a Constitution we have nothing.
And the worst thing for the President? It has no come to light that even Obama Girl is disenthralled with her former heartthrob. When you lose the bimbo vote you are in serious political trouble!
Does President Obama deserve all this? Of course he does, he is reaping what he has sown.
A Romney Presidency is no certainty and a Republican takeover of the Senate is not guaranteed, but with Romney even polling ahead of the President in Wisconsin the political terrain is shifting away from the President. President Obama’s mojo is gone and it is not coming back.
Now if only Romney would start promoting conservative policies…
Regime change in 2012!
