I ran across this at cnsnews.com and then noticed that Drudge had linked to it, too. This is just too good to pass up.
Our hard earned tax dollars have been spent transplanting a manzanita bush in San Francisco that was growing in the proposed path of a highway. At least $205,075 was spent on this bush. The government apparently was not phased by the fact that similar bushes can be purchased for less than $20 at a nursery, but since the transplanted bush was found in the “wild” that made it special.
This was all part of the stimulus bill, of course. So what exactly what was stimulated by this expenditure, other than my ire?
