Obama and the Catholic vote.

03 Apr

In 2008 Obama was able to convince a majority of American Catholics to vote for him all the while he knew that if he was to succeed in fundamentally transforming the nation into a socialist state he would need to weaken the church’s influence. You see, for more than 100 years the Catholic Church has steadfastly condemned socialism around the world.

What both the Catholic Church and Barack Obama know to be true is that socialism ultimately denies the central truth of Christianity that man needs God. Socialism sets up man as God, striving to make a utopia or heaven on earth. Obama also knows that the Church stands in firm opposition to any view of man who denies his origin and destiny in God. The president and those who support his vision for our future would like to eliminate the Church’s opposition by neutralizing the Church.

This is what the HHS contraception mandate is all about, and this is why Obama has surrounded himself with pro-abortion Catholics like Joe Biden, Kathleen Sebilius, and Sonya Sotamoyer. This is why he has delivered speeches at Georgetown and Notre Dame. His goal is to diminish the effectiveness and influence of the Church by dividing its flock.

I am happy to say that the Church is fighting back. Cardinal Dolan of New York says that although opponents of the federal contraception mandate face a difficult struggle, religious groups can achieve victory through persistence.

“We have to be very vigorous in insisting that this is not about contraception. It’s about religious freedom,”

The Church is also making a concerted effort to influence the vote as evidenced by this video. For our sake, I hope the flock is listening.

That’s interesting. May God use it for good.

The Catholic Church has written documents condemning aspects of both socialism and capitalism. It is not partial towards either
