DNC Convention poster depicts unanswered pleas for handouts in the shadows of a Democrat sunset

18 Feb

The DNC asked artists to submit designs for a poster to represent the Democrat vision for 2012 and beyond. They have just debuted the winning design selected.  The artist responsible is a local Charlotte artist, Steve Ward. The poster depicts outstretched hands from below, which represent the poor and disadvantaged, in search of handouts from the ruling class which is represented by the outstretched hands from above. However the ruling class hands are empty as well except for what looks like a few crumbs falling to those below. This all taking place in the shadows as the sun sets on Charlotte and hopefully, the Obama presidency.

I was unable to get a copies of the runner-up entries but I was told that they included images of a large boot on the throat of American job creators, EPA Director Lisa Jackson dressed as the grim reaper with a hammer to go along with the customary sickle, and  a new pipeline which instead of transporting crude oil to American refineries actually transported taxpayer dollars to the green energy boondoggles of top Democrat contributors and bundlers.

That this is the WINNING enrry is disturbing.

Shouldn’t the winning entry have been a stick up?
