Trickle up stupidity

13 Feb

The Obama Administration released its proposed budget and true to form there is plenty of wasteful spending, higher taxes and more fees. Not that this going to actually improve the budget situation or economy, but you get the idea. It is more important to choke off what little economic growth we have in the name of class warfare and increasing dependence upon the federal government.

In the midst of this, somehow the Administration has deemed it necessary to propose an increase in the subsidy for buying a Chevy Volt. Their philosophy must be that if one subsidy fails then just increase it. It’s not like the government has to borrow the money or anything. As detailed in this article from The Daily Caller the subsidy will go up from $7,500 to $10,000 of our tax dollars.

The Volt is no bargain of a car, it has a base price in the $40k range at the Chevy website. The Chevy Cruze, a very similar gasoline powered car, costs substantially less and gets good mileage. With the high price tag of the Volt we are subsidizing the affluent, the unions and allowing Obama to buy votes with our tax dollars. And to make matters worse, the Volt is not really an electric car as much as a coal powered car, since that is where so much of our electricity comes from. How green is that? That’s liberalism for you.

Does it get any dumber than this?

Does it get any dumber than this? I’m afraid dumb isn’t the word. Evil is the word.

All of these actions have a single intention, which is to destroy the country, knock its people and its status down in the world, and to enslave and punish us.

Nope, not doom and gloom…just misguided progressivism.
