Vacationing President: Wow, Congress really boned me.

20 Aug

VINEYARD HAVEN, Mass., Aug 20 (Reuters) – A vacationing U.S. President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking “common sense” measures he said would create jobs and help growth.

The nerve.  I don’t know what pisses me off more, that he said it or that he thinks we’ll forget that if they had done what he wanted we’d be even more screwed.  Its like the President said, “Let’s go 100mph into that wall” and Congress said, “We’ll let you go 70mph into that obviously solid wall.”  Are you really sitting in Martha’s Vineyard complaining that everything would be gangbusters if only your hands hadn’t been tied by Congress?  You had the whole f’ing government until Nov 2, 2010…are you really complaining that your own party didn’t let you blow everything up faster?

Of course not, you’re complaining that a minority of the minority party has the balls to tell Americans that your policies are a death sentence for individualism.  Enjoy your vacation.

This is going to be his tactic to try to pin his economy on the Republicans. That’s why Congress needs to take advantage of the slow news cycle to loudly proclaim and predict this as spin.
