This is Why We Need to go to Washington Tomorrow.

26 Jul

Noon.  Upper Senate Park.

This is your last shot, peasants.

Mike Lee, Rand Paul and Jim DeMint are going to speak, but it’s not about them.  It’s about you and about your ability to knock some heads together and make something happen.

There is a rumor about Allen West coming to speak.  That’d be ultra cool, but even that isn’t the point.

Boehner and Cantor are going wobbly on us, it seems.  They haven’t heard from us in a while, other than by phone and email.

Look.  It’s not even about you.  It’s not about me.  It’s about our country, our families and our friends across the country.  I’m doing this for my family in Nevada and my family in Kansas.  I live near Richmond, VA and I can do this.  They can’t.

AliBama and his Forty Thieves need to see us, hear us and know that we are not going to be steam rolled.  His bullcrap is wearing very thin.  It ain’t about corporate jets, it’s about elitists in Washington who think that they can take all of our money and engineer a socialist utopia.

Is there anybody you’d like to protect from across the country that you can represent with a day off and a tank of gas?

Is that a price too high to pay?

H/T: Wray for the video

Update:

Amy Kremer from Tea Party Express updated the speakers list.

Congressman Steve King
Congressman Joe Walsh
Congressman Louie Gohmert
Others Invited

Does this mean that Colonel West will NOT be attending?  Not sure, but he shall hear from us forthwith.
Update:  Apparently Congressman West WILL be speaking.  It’s all very fuzzy now, but I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Did I tell you about the first Tea Party I attended in DC?  February 2009.  It was a little event.  Maybe 200 people. max.  No stage.  No nothing, except Michelle Malkin and Joe the Plumber showing up.  That was the birth of the movement.  It was a formative moment that I’ll never forget and it was the impetus for many Tea Parties.  Richmond being one of them.

After this can we talk about another event that shakes Obama and Reid to their core?
