A simple definition of leadership is that leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal.
Put even more simply, the leader is the inspiration and director of the action. He or she is the person in the group that possesses the combination of personality and skills that makes others want to follow his or her direction.
The President of the United States sorely lacks these skills. Under his “leadership” the 2010 congress, a congress with large Democrat, majorities failed to pass a 2011 budget. Now with a split legislature when executive leadership is needed more than ever to resolve the ongoing budget battle we learn that the Great Barack Obama is so deficient in the art of leadership that if we were to assert himself on the budget, he would be rejected. It really is pathetic.
