Pill popping, bizarre behavior not a problem for Congressman Wu

23 Mar

Representative David Wu’s mental behavior may have caused his entire staff to abandon him but the ultra liberal supporters in his leftwing gerrymandered district are standing with the Oregonian congressman.

Rep. David Wu spent 90 minutes talking with constituents in Tigard today on issues ranging from unemployment to health care.

The meetings lasted about 5 minutes apiece and were scheduled in advance. The people included supporters called by Wu’s district office, and people who had called late for an appointment. Most said they didn’t know or didn’t care about the details that have landed the seven-term congressman in the public eye: staff departures, inappropriate pill use, and a tiger costume. – Oregonian

If we hold our elected officials to a higher level of scrutiny I have a very low opinion of the average citizen in Oregon’s 1st congressional district.

So, what’s so wacky about a grown man (and legislator to boot) wearing a tiger costume and popping pills? You’re just too harsh. Give Tony a break, his constituents obviously think he’s GRRREAT!
