    That was heartbreaking, and I speak as someone who loves old buildings.

    If I didn’t know it was Detroit I would have guessed mid-1950s East Germany. Easy mistake to make, since economic policy was about the same.

      Looking at those buildings, there was considerable opulence back when they were in their prime. All squandered by Democrats and the United Auto Workers. I had actually forgotten about Fischer Auto Body, which was one of those buildings in the photoblog. All my dad’s cars had the emblem, Body by Fischer on the door thresholds.
