American Conservative Union: Autopsy for a once great organization

13 Feb

The American Conservative Union is losing its long time leader, David Keene, and there are some very troubling developments that have been building in the background which emerged over the last week, coming to a head during their Conservative Political Action Conference that ended yesterday.

This is no longer Ronald Reagan’s ACU and CPAC.

It appears that ACU has been hijacked by long time political operative, Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform, who has been working tirelessly to mainstream radical muslim groups into the halls of power in the White House, the Republican Party and the Conservative movement itself. I’ve known for some time that he was able to get access for some pretty shady people into the Bush White House, even after 9/11.

I guess that’s how Bush came up with that ‘Religion of Peace’ crapola.

Norquist is joined on the board of ACU by Suhail Khan, son of two of the co-founders of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose mission is to infiltrate and capture organizations and government and eventually bring about sharia law from the inside out.

David Horowitz gives a terrific overview starting at about 7:30 into this video, but really, watch the whole thing.

Of course, Khan was caught denying that there is a Muslim Brotherhood presence in this country yesterday afternoon.

Frank Gaffney also confirms this unholy alliance between muslim shadow organizations and Grover Norquist in this PJTV interview yesterday.

There is more damning information about Suhail Khan at Muslim Brotherhood Exposed.

Don Feder at GrassTopsUSA has given up on CPAC altogether, calling Norquist a One Man Fifth Column.

If Norquist had his way, the conservative movement would look like a pot party at a bathhouse, located next to an Islamic cultural center.

I might just join him. Such a shame as I’ve been to 8 or 9 CPACs and usually have a great time.

But, there is hope. The Reagan Conservative Coalition is stepping up with their ‘Take back the Movement‘ They are also exposing Norquist and Khan for the dangerous frauds that they are.

I have to go write to ACU now, informing that I will no longer be attending CPAC or contributing to ACU in any way unless Norquist and Khan are extracted from Board of Directors. I wonder how long John Bolton and Cleta Mitchell will stay with an organization so contrary to their world view?

Norquist and his ilk have done more harm to the conservative cause than anyone would have guessed possible. Until this is resolved I’ll have nothing further to do with ACU or CPAC.

I wholeheartedly agree. Will there be another group to fill the void? There needs to be.
